As if someone had been reading my lament about the unpleasant corrigations covering the broken windows at Woolworths, some workmen in hard hats and flourescent vests were this morning measuring up chipboard and battens in front of the empty store. They are planning to take up a yard or so of pavement to seal the outside of the frontage.

Inside were other workers, who were running the ventilation system of the now vast and empty selling floor. Whether this has any significance regarding the future use of the building, we shall have to wait and see.
