Hector Muaimba's sentence was reviewed today, but his sentence was not increased. Two other men in the group of gang rapists who threw caustic soda over their victim had theirs raised.

We were discussing this at home. The sexual violence was horrendous then to add to it with further gratuitous violence is hard to comprehend and consider. To be emotionally detached in sentencing on this case is difficult; the only way to look at it structurally is to enclose ones considerations within the structures laid out in the law. But my heaven, I know what I'd like to do.
I live in hopes that these guys are not going to be too protected in prison. -
what a horrible crime. That poor poor girl, and then to disfigure her. I hope they get their punishment from the other prisioners in jail
