Sentencing members of a gang who imprisoned and gang raped a young 16 year old woman for two hours, filming their crime on a mobile phone and then pouring caustic soda over her, Judge Shain Lyons said: “The most severe injuries followed the attack with caustic soda. She has been left with severe post-traumatic stress disorder and scarring to 50 per cent of her body.

“It is doubtful what form her life will take and whether she will ever be able to operate fully as a young woman.”

The victim was found by a neighbour, screaming as her skin peeled off once the gang of up to nice rapists had decided to discard her and leave the house she'd been lured to. She went into a shock-induced coma. She was left disfigured and suicidal after the attack and since then, her father says "The trauma, stress, depression and hopelessness have all been too difficult to bear." She has been left unable to regulate her body temperature and has spinal damage.

For some reason, despite the accused and their onlooking friends showing no concern for the seriousness of this crime or any remorse at all for what they had done (there are reports of sniggering in court) the judge then went on to sentence Hector Muaimba, 20, of Guildford Road, Walthamstow to a mere six years in prison for his part the gang rape of the girl.

The Attorney General will now review the sentence. A spokesman for the Attorney General's office said: "We have asked the Crown Prosecution Service for the papers in the case so we can consider whether the sentence is one that should be referred to the Court of Appeal as unduly lenient."
