At the corner of St James's Street and the cul-de-sac which is all that is left of Grange Road after a housing estate was built there and then walled off from the rest of civilization, is number 46. The actual corner part of this building is taken up by Elite Property Services, a rental agency. Though the scruffy temporary sign currently covering up details of the previous occupants over the door says they do sales, lettings and managing, there are only adverts for places to rent in the window. These range from a single room for 'from' £50 per week, (a 1 bedroomed flat would allegedly start at £140pw locally), through to a two bedroomed flat from £180per week and a 3 bedroomed house from £240. A three double-bedroomed flat on Markhouse Road with a bathroom, living room and fully fitted kitchen is being advertised for rent from £900 per month.
They also have one commercial property in the window - a 10 year lease for £20,000 at £17,000 rent on a eatery called 'Taste Well' on Hoe Street. Elite seem to be dabbling their toes in the same rental markets as the nearby Star Mortgage and Property Services and Madisons Estate Agents. Down the little cul-de-sac they share the back of their building with Docklands Engineering Services, while on St James's Street their immediate neighbour is St James Supermarket to their right.
