At 57 St James's Street, next door to Michael Franklin the chemists, is a very friendly small business called M&S. The M&S in this case are not the Marks and Spencers of grocery and food porn fame, but are the children of the owners, for this is a real local family business. They also seem to be the cheapest in the area (certainly cheaper than Clothing Care Dry Cleaners at the top of the High Street) at what they do and not at all afraid of letting people know what their services cost. Just as Clothing Care are close to Walthamstow Central, M&S are conveniently situated for suit-wearers who take the railway into Liverpool Street from nearby St James's Street station.

In their openness about their prices, they are a marked contrast to the attitude at two other local dry cleaners (Apollo Dry Cleaners in St James's Street and Press2Impress at nearby Blackhorse Horse), who strangely expect customers to be telepathic about the higher prices they charge.

At M&S Dry Cleaners, a coat or a 2 piece suit can be dry cleaned for £4.50, (or separately as a jacket for £2.50, trousers for £2.00), a shirt or tie for £1.50. In addition, they do a special offer of a minimum of 6 items cleaned and pressed for £1.50 each, hire linen, will collect and deliver laundry, and undertake alterations. A double duvet costs £7 to clean.
