For some reason there are a lot of adverts locally for kittens for sale. Today I have seen them in the windows of WM Smith, Terry's and Faris's Supermarket, as well as one flyposted on the shutters of the empty Animal Magic, across Courtney Mews from Baltika.

Its sad isn't it. There are lots of cats where I live - we have two of our own and a part-time gentleman lodger who comes in when it suits him, though he's supposed to live upstairs next door. Next door downstairs also have two cats.

I have just come across an article in my local paper, which suggests there is quite a widespread problem:

Do you think the widespread adverts, even those in the 'mews' are for the same litter?

We had a full grown cat try to adopt us one year; it was heart wrenching. He was a super animal. I have seen him since, elsewhere, happy, well cared for and just as friendly to me when we recognised each other.

  I am pretty sure they are different ads- they didn't look the same.
