Apple Day was apparently begun in 1990 by Common Ground.
A simple enough idea, one would have thought. For some reason, though, Apple Day is held on different days in different places round the country. It is probably fun for everyone involved. In Walthamstow, a break-away group is planning to celebrate Apple day on Saturday 11th October from 11am-4pm.
There will, accordingly, be apples, (if they haven't all been scrumped like they were last year) at the Vestry House Museum, Vestry Road, Walthamstow. Splitters.
