I have got in trouble in the past for asking stupid questions and putting my tactless foot in it about the activities of local artists (I considered painting lampshades to display in Oxfam to be a design function which is part of a centuries old tradition, rather than the brilliant original concept claimed for it by one of our local artists. The Oeuvres are still on display for those who'd like to have an opinion of their own).

So this time I leave you with the information to make of as you will, that you can get involved in making soap, sculpting twigs and decorating T-Shirts if you pay £5 to take part in the "Art In The Park: Workshop" , hosted by the Changing Room Gallery.

This gallery, at Aveling Park, or 575 Forest Road, depending on who is giving directions, is hosting this event on Saturday, 23rd August and Sunday, 24th August.
