Newly opened above Hair and Beauty UK Ltd is Vanity Hair and Beauty, a hairdressers which has replaced Classic Hair Salon.
I hope their good position on the corner opposite Sainsbury's and BAD Warehouse at the junction of the High Street with Palmerston Road helps them flourish.

One of the things that interests me, which I am mapping, is the nature of the local retail economy as well as the pattern and some of the causes of business start ups and failures in Walthamstow. (I have a small business of my own, though not one which caters to the general public). I think I can learn things from this, and possibly others can too. A phone number is information about the businesses of relevance to their means of communicating with potential customers. I usually also give a reference to any websites they have or email if they advertise they use this as a business tool in interfacing with the public.
It potentially helps the businesses concerned to be able to see from an independent source, how the way they present themselves - visually, through their offers,business practices, or standards of service - can be perceived by the public. I appreciate these perceptions are generally mine and represent no-one other than my subjective self unless others who know these businesses choose to also comment, which sometimes does happen. The businesses are individually helped, as well as the wider local economy, when they get information about themselves out to a wider, internet-using public, who are potential customers. The public who live here are helped in that they may be able to learn more about these businesses and their competitors if they read my blogs.
I don't want hair dye. I want the selfish satisfaction of knowledge. I also would like one day to see the place I live in meeting its full economic potential and the people who live here having a better life than they do now. That won't ever happen if we don't actually look to see what the discrete elements that make up the place are really like and how they fit with the greater whole. 
That's an excellent vantage point and simply wonderful that you are supporting your community.
