It is a bit of a local tradition for florists to set up shop (or stall, in the case of Blackhorse Road) near to our transport hubs. At 23B St James's Street there is a florist right next to the station, brightening the entrance to the ticket hall with their potted plants and tubs of fresh blooms, as well as the alley through to Courtenay Place and Cranbrook Mews, a small square of enormous development potential currently being used as little more than a bus depot.

Sadly, Station Flowers are not part of the Interflora network, so I was not able to use them recently to send flowers to family friends in Australia, but they will undertake free local delivery in the Walthamstow area. Tel 0208 521 5211.

There is a florist on Palmerston Road, Palms Florist, which is a member of 'teleflorist', I have since learned.
