There are a couple of signs in the window of Sonia's at 21 St James's Street. The first says that they are offering 'Free Eyebrows' with 'Any facial'. This is very generous of them.

Less generously, there are no other signs in either window or in the shop itself which indicate how much any of their services cost. In this they are bucking a general trend in the Walthamstow area, where ladies' hairdressers have gradually coming round to the realization that it is bad business to leave potential customers in the dark as to how much a visit is going to set them back.

On the High Street, even Glamour and Ligita have recently joined commendable beauty firms like Selinah Debrah (UK), Classic Hair Salon, Shanze Hairdressers, Snowdrop, Robert Barron and Excel World in advertising their prices. Nearby Kute Cutz don't leave the ladies in the dark like this.

The other sign in their window is an advertisement for part-time staff. There is no phone number indicated anywhere on the shop frontage, so people will have to call in personally if they are interested in knowing more. They are between The Pill Box and Favorite Chicken and Ribs. The shop front and signage is liveried in retro Penelope Pitstop black and hot pink with curly lettering in white.
