Between Cash Converters and the new Cunar restaurant is a white fronted business which may be called PC and Laptop Sales and Repairs, Compucare Centre. At least that's what I deduce the firm at 16 St James's Street are called from their sign, half obscured as it is by the bus stop and the lack of care they have paid to the presentation of their firm to the world. The sign actually says
PC a:d :APTOP Sales acd Repairs.
This could, of course, actually be their name, in which case its a very clever advert indeed. If this is, however, not a subtle form of post modern double-bluff, and is an example of their attention to detail, things do not bode well. Above the shop, the beautiful looking building has been badly converted into bedsits.
Inside, there are a number of computers on offer, ranging from a Dell Pentium 4 Ortplex System at £129, an Acer Laptop with a 512MB memory at £229, or an Apple iBook G4 (Brand New Boxed) for £425.
