At 230 High Street, Captain's is an unpretentious basic fish and chip shop, where customers can eat in, out of the paper, at three tables or buy their food for taking home. There is a phone number (0208 521 3428), but Captain's will not deliver nor take phoned in orders, given the past tendency of some naughty people to phone in and then not come in to collect.

Captain's sells basic fish and chips, a large fish at £4.50, a small one at £3.50. Chips to go with these are £1.00. A pie - they sell Pukka pies, are £1.50, and saveloys are a pound. Khalid will proudly wrap his wares up in butcher's paper for his established clientelle, though he also sells chicken wings and ribs in a cardboard box.

Next door to East London Halal Meat, opposite the still not developed arcade site.
