High Street Kebabish

High Street Kebabish is a Kebab Eat in and Take-Away Shop at 192 High Street (Tel: 02085214447).

It is next door to Bronx. They have not really pursued their take-away potential as fully as they could, having not yet printed up their menu. The eat-in business is successful; there is an agreeable fug in the shop most afternoons as groups of young men hang around eating their kebabs.

Not to be confused with Kebabish on Hoe Street. Mr Waqar Ahmed, the proprietor of Kebabish No 1 in Hoe Street, Walthamstow was fined £4,500 and ordered to pay £4,000 cost by Waltham Forest Magistrates on Friday 13th April 2007 for failure to comply with food hygiene legislation (Regulation (EC) 852/2004. The premises were filthy and there were infestations of both mice and cockroaches. Mr Waqar Ahmed had failed to heed warnings in the past about his poor hygiene standards.
