Life is too short to discuss Argos in any detail twice. This branch at 203-207 High Street is between Abbey and Barclays.

It is much of a muchness with the other one down the hill, but opens half an hour earlier every morning except Sunday, when it opens half an hour later. On Thursday, Friday and Saturdays they shut at 6.00pm.

The only thing I can think to say about this place is that Argos is on the site of a defunct cinema, which openned on Boxing Day 1911 and closed in April 1912. Presumably it was run by an optimist who did not know enough about the demand for films as he thought he did. This is something people considering what to do about the EMD Cinema on Hoe Street might wish to bear in mind.
