Gritters

It was thought there might be a spot of winter weather on 3 March 2008 and the gritters were sent out in Walthamstow. I wondered if it would be worth the effort. It wasn't. There was a starry sky all night and no snow fell, let alone settled.

:)) I read your title and thought what on earth are gritters? Almost forgot they emerge from the woodwork at the first flutter of snow...big hugs....

Ah, the gritters scared them away...one gritter and the snow monsters flee...HLOL...big hugs..
