At 139 High Street, Salim and Naeem, with the same green livery as this shop 189 High Street, are a bit down market, cheap and cheerful. Not so the shop next door to the Neighbourhood Police station and G02 Mens Collection.
Here, the ladies clothes are aimed at a more moneyed shopper, who is definitely a woman rather than a girl; slightly older and able to buy the slightly more expensive range on offer. That is not to say that the prices are exorbitant, far from it, (my wife compares the range with Primark, if that means anything to you, but less trendy) but offer includes clothes that are not throw-away items, are likely to last longer than clothes off a market stall and are displayed in a calm, unhurried and attractive environment. Those who want a more 'market' experience, Saleem and Naeem also has the clothes stall pitched directly in front of their own entrance, thus ensuring that they don't have a rival competing on their doorstep on market days.
