G02 is one of the more grown-up men's clothes shops on the High Street, though its offerings are definitely aimed at the young at heart. The staff on my recent visit were friendly and helpful; they were tolerant, willing to have a laugh and did not give me any unwelcome sales baloney or pressure to buy.
They are however definitely aiming for the fashion wear end of the men's market, with expensive leather shoes (one particular pair that caught my eye at £100 being made of faux crocodile), suits, shirts, trousers and jackets.
Some of the merchandise is too embroidered or over detailed for my taste (one blue and white striped shirt on offer has fine metal chain detailing hanging on the collar for instance) but the over-all impression is of fun and flashy smart casual more than total fashion victim, providing careful restraint is taken with the bronzer and no two items from the ranges are ever worn at one time. Customers of this shop will never be refused entry to a nightclub for being under-dressed.
G02 Mens Collection is situated between Forest Dry Cleaners and Salim and Naeem, which is next door to the Neighbourhood Police Station.
