Next door to the part-time opticians at 114b High Street is a ladies clothing shop called Opal. This is certainly not New Bond Street, but the shop is an attempt to offer a boutique experience to local shoppers. Predominant hues are black,purple, browns and grey. The clothes are of better quality than on most market stalls.
My female shopping experts who have done a secret recce for me tell me that the prices are pitched at around Marks and Spencer's level, if that is any help. They do not sell accessories.
