When I first looked at the goods in this shop last autumn I was shocked at the hoodies and wannabe criminals who Style Overdose were trying to to sell their clothes to.
This shop was full of over-priced clothing, much of it quite poorly made given the prices, which could be described as 'street' or 'sports' wear. In years to come, the impressionable young wannabes who bought this stuff will cringe at the photos of themselves. These will grace albums under the category of 'I was a Walthamstow Fashion Victim'. They may think that digital photography will be deleted, but believe me that stuff will come back to haunt them with a vengeance.
The shop sold what my 76 year-old mother used to call 'bling' jewelry, get-away trainers at from forty to eighty-five pounds a pair( a more expensive consignment expected any day soon), baseball caps with 'exclusive' logos on them- take it from me, they were not - the slums of Manila are full of this stuff, and hoodies with built-in zip-up full facial masks. Some of these had glow in the dark skull motifs on them. Rapists 'R' Us. My thoughts were that if he wouldn't want his daughter or wife to meet someone wearing those wares after sun-set, he shouldn't sell it. Its just wrong.
After a time the full-facial hoodies were moved out of the window and replaced them with a dummy wearing a balaclava. In recent weeks the shop display has been considerably softened further, and the clothes on display are, as a result, not looking as dated, becoming more aligned with the modern fashionable offerings at Blue Inc. There are also more female clothes on display.
Next door to Linens Direct and Lennon Ladies Wear on the High Street.

You are so right. There should be some law against selling outfits tailor-made for wanna b bank robbers and rapists.
